Jewelry Care

How To Care for Your Brass Jewelry

• Your brass jewelry is designed to evolve in time much like yourself. Uncoated raw brass will gradually develop a naturally darker patina. This patina look is valued, as it gives the piece a slightly vintage look.

• To maintain the original shine on brass, keep it dry, store it airtight, and caress it often with a soft jewelry cloth.

How to Care for Your Sterling Silver Jewelry

• Esprit Creations jewelry boasts a special high-polish, anti-tarnish technique that will not tarnish quickly. Still, we recommend storing your jewelry in a dry place, preferably covering it with a jewelry cloth or placing it in an air-tight container with anti-tarnish strips or silica gel packs. This helps avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and chemicals from the air that can cause tarnish.

• To keep your sterling silver jewelry fresh and bright, occasionally wipe it gently with a soft jewelry cloth (microfiber). For tarnished jewelry, gently brushing your silver with a soft toothbrush and a dab of toothpaste can do wonders to replenish the original shine. Make sure to rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Keep in mind that even sterling silver 92.5 contains a small amount of copper alloy for hardness. Depending on an individual's skin chemistry, it may occasionally cause a harmless mark. This is not an allergy, but a natural reaction to moisture, perfumes, or acidity on the skin.
