  • Esprit Creations is a women-owned and operated, mother-daughter team, Elena and Jamuna. We are the owners, designers, creators, and distributers of Esprit Creations fine sterling silver gemstone designer jewelry.
  • Having been influenced by my Italian roots, I have always been a lover of the spirit in nature, and the culture of inspirational art. After living in India, and watching how the artisans create wearable works of art with natural gemstones, I became interested in spending more time learning about these energetic treasure-gems of the earth.
  • I received my GIA Gemologist degree to delve further into the knowledge and life of gemstones. From my artistic Italian background, and involvement with the cultural arts of India, I am living my renaissance! I love discovering unique natural gemstones and combining certain stones together in a jewelry piece so that their colors compliment each other. The synergy of the different characters and energies create a beautiful, harmonious piece of soulful jewelry.

  • I founded Esprit Creations in 1989. The name, Esprit means ‘spirited’ or ‘vitality of life’ in French. It reflects the eclectic spirit of our work and the essence of our intention: To offer uniquely meaningful pieces of wearable art that celebrate nature, empowerment, confidence, and positive wellbeing. We wholesale our creations to independent retailers, boutiques, and shops to help increase their sales.

+ What is meant by “exclusive handmade designer jewelry”?

  • All of our jewelry is handcrafted using traditional hands-on jewelry making techniques. This hands-on approach gives each design a unique character and artisanal quality. Whether completely hand carved or casted, there is always a person, an artisan specialist working on each part of the process to create Esprit Creations hand made designer jewelry.
  • Each piece goes through a ‘hundred hands’, Here is its story:
    • A skilled gem-cutter cuts and shapes the gems from the rough stone.
    • Another craftsperson works on refining and polishing each gemstone on a polishing wheel until the stone shows it’s inner radiance and glow.
    • GIA gemologist, Elena, hand-selects gemstones that have exceptional high energy and brilliance to be used in our designs. -Jamuna comes up with an inspirational design and sketches it onto the first cad with precision craftsmanship,
    • We then sit with our graphic artist and cad specialist who makes a final 3D cad in proportionate measurements until we are satisfied. -If the design is casted, then a wax mold must be formed by another craft master who is expert at capturing every accurate detail of the design while creating the mold.
    • Another liquefies the precious metal, Sterling Silver 92.5, and pours it into the mold until it is solidified.
    • When the wax is removed, the piece is then cleaned and refined by an artisan expert in hand-finishing and trimming the piece to match the original design that we, the designers intended.
    • Once the metal framework is complete, it is ready for our master artisan to set the chosen stone carefully by hand into position, and close the metal prongs, bezel, pave, or channel setting, to securely hold the stone while maximizing its brilliance and glow. -If the design is to be gold vermeil plated, then our artisan expertly covers the sterling silver with 2.5 microns of 18k gold. -Esprit Creation’s signature engravings by Jamuna are hand engraved or lasered onto each piece.
    • The completed piece then goes for a final polishing to achieve the desired high-polish finish that Esprit Creations is known for. -Our craftsmaster then verifies the security of the stone’s setting, inspects the finish, the high-polish, and the engraving, to assure that each piece meets both the aesthetic and meticulous durability standard that Esprit Creations is known for.

+ Where is your jewelry made?

  • Esprit Creations sterling silver gemstone jewelry is first designed by our mother-daughter team and produced with our trusted, skilled artisan partners in India who share our commitment to meticulous quality craftsmanship.
  • Both Jamuna and I spend time in Jaipur, India. There, we personally curate the gemstones and work together with our talented master artisans whose skilled techniques and traditions help bring each of Esprit Creations fine sterling silver gemstone designer jewelry pieces to life.

+ Are your gemstones natural?

  • Esprit Creations only uses natural genuine gemstones. As a GIA gemologist I guarantee the quality and authenticity of the natural gemstones and metals we use in our designs.
  • As a GIA gemologist I help keep my customers up to date about the pulse of what’s happening in the jewelry market. I show them how to tell the difference between a genuine gemstone from the earth, a natural stone that has been enhanced, or a man-made stone.
  • We are known for our high-quality, genuine gemstones. I carefully source and hand-select gems for their natural bright color, shining quality, cut, and shape. I also consider the character of the stones. I combine different stones that compliment each other in color and energy to create a harmonious piece of jewelry art.
  • We travel to source some of our stones. Our Larimar is curated by us from a family in Santo Domingo. We originally found our source for Lemurian Crystals and Manifesting Crystals from the owners of mines in Brazil. Much of our USA Turquoise comes from a Native American family that owns one of the ‘Carico Lake’ mines in Arizona. We are connected to families that own or run mines in different regions to ensure our source for the exceptionally unique gemstones we choose for our designs.
  • Because artisans in India are known for their precision cutting of natural gemstones, all sorts of wonderful genuine gems from around the world find their way through India. Jaipur, India is the global heartbeat of the gemstone trade. When Jamuna and I travel there for our work, it is more like celebrating a gemstone ’fiesta’ as we sift through a plethora of colorful natural gemstones to find the perfect genuine gems for our designer collections.
  • As a GIA Gemologist, I offer ‘Certificates of Authenticity’ cards available for certain stones like Moldavite.

+ What metals are used in your jewelry?

  • Esprit Creations uses recycled fine sterling silver 92.5 with a high polish, anti-tarnish finish. Sterling silver always holds its value. Jewelry made with 92.5 sterling silver is considered heirloom quality. Our fine sterling silver jewelry is designed to be loved today and cherished for generations to come.
  • The universal standard for sterling silver 92.5 is always 92% pure silver mixed with 7.5% copper for durability, whether newly mined or recycled.
  • Recycled sterling silver maintains its purity, quality, and polishing shine during the refining process.
  • By using recycled silver, we support sustainability for the environment without the massive toll from traditional mining.
  • For some selected gemstones we offer the standard 18K gold vermeil finish of 2.5 microns over sterling silver, 92.5.
  • Our Designer Brass pieces are easily affordable. Our brass is lead-free and nickle free. We use the same high quality, gemstones in our designer brass pieces as we do in our sterling silver. On selected designs we apply 18K gold over brass for a refined, luxurious finish.
